Mr. Amit Kakker, Senior Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing of Toyota Financial Services is into Automotive Financial Services. His experience is vast and knowledge is noteworthy.

On 22nd of June 2012 we got the privilege of getting to know and see it by ourselves when he came to our college taking out time from his busy schedule. He not only interacted with us students but also gave us a quick glimpse of his experiences, the industry that he is in, the major challenges they face, his career progression from being a banker of one of the leading private banks to the Vice President of Toyota Financial Services, his learning’s from his mistakes to name a few. Moving on he also talked about Indian automotive finance industry, in that a few important areas which he touch based on to give us a better understanding were:

The overall experience was enriching and eye opening. Thanks to our college we got such an opportunity to be a part of such an interaction. We look forward to many more such interactions in the times ahead.

- The history of Automotive Industry, the birth of Automotive Industry in India and he also cited the differences between Western and Indian development in this sector.
- Where Indian Automobile Industry stands as of today in terms of two wheeler, car and commercial vehicles.
- And finally he concluded by talking about future plans of Toyota as a company, and the role of Toyota Financial Services in the same.
