Pratical lessons Mr Vishal Kesarwani,Jeweller.

Quite an interesting and interactive session on that day. Mr. Vishal Kesarwani, a Jeweller by profession shared his knowledge about the market, typically the Indian market.
He started off the session with his experience with a work that had cost him about Rs 15000 and was completed well before time.

Being a person well aware of the nerves of the Indian market, he utilised the oppurtunity to know about the margin and hit with a win win bargain. That is the essense of business in India. A knowhow that is not there in the management books is being street smart in the market and negotiations to win win being the way of life. Even when handling his customers, he stressed on the importance of selling yourselves which would bring you the customers even when your competitor has the better products and services. I remember somebody saying its always worth to spend few years in Mumbai at the begining of the career. That is what it teaches you- Being Street Smart. Mr. Kesarwani continued talking about the consumer behaviour further in India. It requires quite an experience in the market to understand consumer behaviour in a varied market like India that is filled with almost all kinds of people. Still customer remains the King! Talking about the 4Cs of Diamonds, Mr. Kesarwani talked about the four important factors that determines the diamond's worth- Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat weight. The same applies to almost all the products appropriately mapped. It was wonderful and interactive session.
